Yarok Balev NGO has been working since 2014, in collaboration with dozens of volunteers, to improve the accessibility to the wild nature between the Ramat Alon neighborhood, the Savyoni Ha-Carmel neighborhood, the Technion Institute and Haifa University. A number of real estate development plans threaten to this wild area of Wadi Ben-Dor, Wadi Shanak, the Technion Forest and the slopes of Haifa University. The trail network allows local residents from around the park to hike its trails while watching and protecting it.
