Hike in Haifa

מורדות כרמליה

Yarok Balev NGO makes nature accessible in Haifa, with the understanding that people hiking the urban nature will help preserve the natural habitats of wildlife, the wild landscape and the pleasant hiking trails.

You can enjoy the vibrant nature of Haifa throughout the year thanks to the network of hiking trails that mark all the gems of urban nature. The hiking trails are suitable for hikers of all difficulty levels – for those with mobility challenges, experienced hikers, and adventurous trekkers. To experience Haifa’s nature, all you need to do is choose between the diverse landscapes that lie between the mountain and the sea.

Haifa Wadis Trail, the flagship project of Yarok Balev NGO, is designed for experienced hikers and is approximately 50 km long. The trail connects the unique nature of Haifa in a continuous circular route and also connects the Israel National Trail to Haifa. Many backpackers have tried to hike the entire trail consecutively, but very few have met the challenge.

For hikers who are not yet ready for the journey of a lifetime, it is recommended to choose sections for day trips* and soak up the atmosphere of the Haifa Carmel at leisure.
