Yarok Balev NGO acts in various fields, all of which have a direct impact on the urban nature conservation.

The Yarok Belev Association leads projects to preserve nature in Haifa and supports any struggle that aligns with the spirit and goals of the association. Among the struggles the association has supported in recent years:
- Wadis Master Plan – The association was a member of the steering committee for The Master Plan for Haifa Wadis and in the public stakeholder engagement meetings that were held.
- Goats Hill – We strongly oppose the construction plan for a neighborhood on the large natural core in Haifa, that will cut off urban nature from the Mount Carmel Biosphere Reserve.
- Ramat Alon Park – The association closely follows the residents’ struggle to preserve the nature between the Ramat Alon and Savioni Danya neighborhoods in Haifa, the city of Nesher, the Technion and the University of Haifa.
- Tel-Aharon Park – The association closely follows the struggle of residents to the west of Haifa, to preserve the nature between the Carmelia, Ahuza, Neve David and Shambor neighborhoods.
- Wadi Amik Park – The association closely follows the struggle of the residents of the Carmel Ma’aravi, Kababir and Neve David neighborhoods to preserve nature in Wadi Amik.
- Givat Hadar – We support the residents of the Ramat Hadar neighborhood, who are fighting for the last natural forest unit in their living area.
- Technion Woods – We alerted the authorities of the damage caused by deforestation of the Technion woods in 2014.
- University Woods – We alerted the authorities in 2014 about the logging that was carried out without permits and without supervision as required by law.
